How to book an Appointment using the new Appointment Booking System

We have introduced a new triage system for all patient GP appointment requests.

This means that instead of calling at 8am to book, all patients will now be asked to complete an online medical triage form. The form will be reviewed by a GP, who will decide the most appropriate next step for your care and ensure you are seen in the right place, at the right time, by the most appropriate professional.

The link to complete the online request form can be found here: https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com/2/OnlineConsultation?OrgId=D81078

Evening and weekend appointments now available

We are part of the Cambridge GP network and therefore we are now offering evening and weekend appointments to deliver enhanced access (EA) service. EA are for any routine or urgent appointments that the patient wishes to have. It is not replacing the Out of Hours/NHS 111 service, but offers appointments at more convenient times. Patients can be seen in any of the six designated sites.

You can book your appointment through our receptionist who will give you a time, date and venue for your appointment.  If you need to cancel or change your appointment please telephone 0330 0130 030.

Our receptionist will also at be able to answer any questions you have about the service.

Chaperones

We understand that there may be appointments where you feel that you would be more comfortable having someone with you during an examination. You are always welcome to bring a friend or relative to act as a chaperone.

If you need them, we have ensured that members of our team have been fully trained as chaperones, please let the receptionist know at the time of booking if you require a chaperone.

Late Arrivals

Patients are requested to arrive in good time for their designated appointment. If you arrive late please let the reception team know.

Patients who arrive late could face a delay or will be invited to rebook, this is at the discretion of the clinician who your appointment was with.

Thank you for your co-operation

Home Visits

Patients are requested, where possible, to telephone before 10:00 if a home visit is required that day. A clinician will call back to ascertain if a home visit is needed. We would request that, apart from the genuinely housebound, all other patients attend the practice rather than request a home visit.

Text Reminder Service

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.

To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.

Declaration

I consent to the practice contacting me by text message and/or email for the purposes of health promotion, practice news and for appointment reminders. I acknowledge that appointment reminders by text are an additional service and that they may not be sent on all occasions but that the responsibility for attending appointments or cancelling them still rests with me. I can cancel the text message facility at any time. Text messages are generated using a secure facility but I understand that they are transmitted over a public network onto a personal telephone and as such may not be secure, however the practice will not transmit any information which would enable an individual patient to be identified.
