Immunisation schedule

 

At two months old:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and Hepatitis B (DTaP/IPV/Hib/Hep B) – one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection – pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) – one injection
  • Meningococcal group B (Men B) – one injection
  • Rotavirus – given by mouth

At three months old:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and Hepatitis B (DTaP/IPV/Hib/Hep B) – one injection
  • Rotavirus – given by mouth

At four months old:

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and Hepatitis B (DTaP/IPV/Hib/Hep B) – one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection – pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) – one injection
  • Meningococcal Group B (Men B) – one injection

At around 12 months old (Has to be on or after first birthday):

  • Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and meningitis C (Hib/MenC) – booster dose in one injection
  • Measles, mumps and rubella (German measles) (MMR) – one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection – pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) – one injection
  • Meningococcal Group B (Men B) – one injection

Eligible Paediatric age groups:

  • Influenza (each year from September) – nasal spray in both nostrils

Three years four months or soon after (pre-school):

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough) and polio (dTaP/IPV or DTaP/IPV) – one injection
  • Measles, mumps and rubella (German measles) (MMR) – one injection

Boys and Girls aged twelve to thirteen years:

  • Cancers caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18 (and genital warts caused by types 6 and 11) – one injection (two doses 6-24 months apart)

14 years old (School year 9):

  • Diphtheria, tetanus and polio (Td/IPV) – one injection
  • Meningococcal groups A,C,W and Y disease – one injection
