Travel Vaccinations

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements by phoning the surgery.

It is your responsibility to read all relevant information to enable you to take the appropriate action to minimise any risks to your health.

We can only offer our patients NHS travel vaccinations which are;

• Polio (given as Td/IPV)
• Tetanus
• Typhoid
• Hepatitis A
• Cholera

If you require other travel vaccinations not listed above, you will need to contact a private travel clinic.

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible – at least 6-8 weeks before you travel. We are able to offer a very limited number of appointments for travel consultations in this instance.

Last minute travellers are unlikely to be able to be accommodated due to lack of appointments and we recommend you go directly to private clinics.
