Following a recent procurement process, NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough are pleased to confirm that Cambs GP Network Limited (CGPN) has been successful in their bid to continue to deliver primary care services for the patients of Maple Surgery.
This will be under an Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract that will run from 1 April 2024 for a period of four years with the option to extend.
CGPN have been providing primary care services at Maple Surgery since February 2023 and are an experienced provider of high-quality primary care services. The new contract includes additional funding to support an increase in the number of clinical staff working for the Surgery and will continue to run from the current Maple Surgery building.
Mark Wallington Chief Executive Officer, CGPN Ltd commented on the announcement: “We’re delighted to be able to continue to provide clinical services for the patients of Maple Surgery. We look forward to continuing to improve clinical services and build on the excellent relationships we have established with our patients, the PPG (Patient Participation Group) and the Parish Council. Thank you for your support and patience throughout this transition.”
Patients can continue to access the practice and services as they do now. There is no need to re-book any existing appointments and repeat prescriptions can be ordered as usual. Patients can contact the practice via the existing number on (01954) 780442, or via the practice website: www.maplebarhill.co.uk/
As part of the robust procurement process, NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough worked alongside Maple Surgery PPG and patient representatives. Their insight and feedback has been invaluable in enabling us to take onboard patient views so we can ensure we provide a service that meets the needs of the local community both now and in the future, and we are very thankful for their support in this process.
NHS Cambridgeshire & Peterborough and CGPN will continue to work closely alongside the PPG and the local community on the future of local primary care services.
